la source principale reste pour moi le site jap. Le reste n'est que localisation/extrapolation de la part de l'éditeur US. Et squarenix parle de son jeu comme un "Dramatic progressive action game" et non un action rpg.

Guys, sorry if I get in the middle of this arguement.

Why lose the few spare time we have by arguing if a game should be in the database or not ?

Let's try to find infos about the 4000 rpgs we already have in the database.

There are tons of infos to be discovered out there.

I think that we should focus on HOW MUCH WE KNOW AND HAVE about RPGs.

I think that we should focus on what was and is the history of our beloved genre.

Let's leave behind the TOO MUCH borderline games and concentrate to the huge amount of stuff we already have in our hands to investigate.

I think that it's a million times better have in-depth reviews, scans, articles, curious and interesting infos, instead that one or two more entries in the database.

Kray7 > A game which have "RPG parts" (experience and equipment for example, like Dissidia or a Soul Calibur) is not necessarily a RPG (in the other hand, you can find RPGs without these characteristics). Even with some RPG parts, the form and spirit of this game is clearly a Fighting Game (and more than that, some obvious RPG elements like adventure or exploration are missing). And Squaresoft itself doesn't give the RPG distinction of its game. That's why Legendra do not want to put Dissidia in the Compendium (from the elements i've readed on this website).

Tobal 1 2 are fighting games, there is a small rpg mode in Tobal 2, but the main game is a fighting game.

I have no intention of asking in adds a database, but asked to explain why I did not understand that paragraph in Wikipedia. Now that I read the last post about him, I know you are NOT rpg, but of fighting.

I'm finally agree with Medion, Dissidia is a fighting game, who include a little RPG style...

But add Dissidia and we'll have to add Soulcalibur 3 and 4, and Street fighter Alpha 3, that's an heresy !!!

So i think we should stop the arguing about this point and concentrate on the real one :p !! it's no use to make and endless discussion.

I was just pointing out that you seemed to say : EXP + level = RPG, like in your picture, which is obviously coming from a fighting game.

I was just telling you that even in Street Fighter Alpha 3 you find EXP and Level, so it means nothing (I did say the same for Virtua Tennis 2, please read everyhting).

But I did not say SFA3 was a RPG, you seem a bit confused there.

C'est vrai qu'on trouve l'explication dans les nombreuses pages de ce topic, mais peut-être qu'il faudrait mettre clairement les règles de ce qui définit ou pas la présence d'un jeu dans le compendium, au niveau de compendium. et de traduire le tout en anglais vu que vous avez également des visiteurs anglophones. Enfin dans les explications des différents sous-genres représentés dans le compendium, je ne me souviens pas y avoir trouvé toutes mes réponses.

Peut-être sous forme de FAQ?

L'appellation "RPG" brouille un peu les pistes, surtout sur des jeux comme Castlevania ou Zelda où elle est aussi controversée.

Message à caractère purement informatif: la partie "aventure" des Tobal est loin d'être négligeable (ya plus de 200 persos à débloquer pour le 2 mine de rien). Par contre, ça n'a rien de RPG, là je suis d'accord.

Elle est négligeable dans le sens où le mode principal reste le jeu de combat, car la série est une série de jeu de combat.

Pour les définitions, on a déjà fait un dossier appelé glossaire sur le site où on définit chaque genre, si c'est pas suffisant pour toi ben... tant pis. Moi j'attends toujours que quelqu'un trouve un argument pour placer Zelda en dehors des Action-RPG, et tu m'as non plus jamais donné de réponse que j'ai trouvée valable, tout est question de ressenti.

Maintenant puisque Kray7 est trop flemmard pour aller regarder une vidéo sur Youtube (c'est son droit), je doute qu'il lise un glossaire entier, même en anglais, sachant qu'il me semble pas très à l'aise avec cette langue (et encore une fois, il a le droit).
